So like, I promised a theory on why Old (wadanohara) "betrayed" lord Meikai. Prepare for another theory from Moon motherfucking CHEESE. Because we're going in hard, oh man, oh man. I'm hyped. Time to get to the point.

We're here to talk about Old's betrayal reason, right? Riiiiiggght? Well, not exactly because, he didn't betray Meikai, that's the point. What if, he wasn't specifically choosing to betray Meikai? Let's think about it. After reading over Old's wikia page on the Okegom wikia, let me tell you.

"He was previously one of Meikai's familiars, though defected for reasons currently unknown. He has been sealed in the Sea of Death ever since."

Now, Princess Mokitsu wasn't necessarily evil throughout her whole life, apparently, so what if Old was on the side of Mokitsu? Feeling the unfairness, but however, this is where my theory has holes. It's still unknown but what if jealousy drove him away? That the same jealousy that Mokitsu had for her sister was similar to Old? That Tatsumiya was the favored one, Old feeling jealous had given into the blinding hatred. The battle between Tatsumiya and Old was caused my confrontation where Old had chosen to confront Tatsumiya about the topic at hand, causing them to battle.

Unfortunately, sharks have a sensitive facial area, therefore once he was temporarily blinded, Old, acting upon instincts, fled, and once he fled he found himself lost, being blind is terrifying especially in the sea. Asking for Meikai to guide him once again only to find that he was lost, feeling as if Meikai had abandoned him, the Red Sea poisoned his mind by then. Believing such as that Meikai had abandoned him and only favored Tatsumiya.

Now onto how the Red Sea molds everyone, the Red Sea could possibly alter parts of the mind, for example; Princess Mikotsu who had been molded into a power hungry monster. Having only desires for her father's love. The Red Sea could possibly alter one's mind to accomplish their goal, except most likely in the more darker way then a "good way" therefore causing Old to aim for Tatsumiya, feeling though that the one in his way to his goal was Tatsumiya who was the 'purpose' to why he felt like so. Just as to why Princess Mikotsu aimed for Princess Uomi.

However, the Red Sea could possibly cause Amnesia of certain parts in their mind, causing to distort the host's mind to forget "useless" and merely "not important" parts of memory that would have no meaning or any part of the goal that could possibly help it. Therefore Old's memory had deleted any sense that he got from Lord Meikai's teachings, his sons, the mother of his sons and anything else that was 'irrelevant'.  I hope this was a good enough theory to please your theories.
Why would he forget? What does the Red Sea do to you? Why betrayal?

Oh... Really nice, the theory should be canon ;w;
